I was talking with one of my clients recently about how to schedule her blog posts in WordPress. And she told me that she didn’t even know that you could do that. So if you didn’t know that you could schedule your blog posts in WordPress, or you’re not sure how to do it, then today’s video is for you! So stay tuned. It’s a super quick, super easy tip.

Hi, I’m Julie from Stress-free Website Solutions, and I have a stress-free solution for you today on how to schedule your blog posts in WordPress. Let’s get right to it and dive right into the WordPress Dashboard.

And like magic, here we are in my WordPress Dashboard. So what I’m going to do is come over here on the left and say Posts->Add New to create a new blog post. I will just title it “Test,” and say “Hello World!” and then we’ll say I’m ready to go; I’m all finished, and I’m ready to publish. But the whole idea is here is that we don’t want to publish immediately. We want to schedule this to be published at a later date and time. So we’re going to come on over to the right and side, and I will zoom in for you.

Instead of clicking Publish,” if you look just above, the default is “Publish immediately.” We’re going to “Edit” that and you’ll see when we edit, we get this handy-dandy date and time chooser. So let’s say we want to schedule it for sometime in the next month, maybe on the 4th, and we get to pick our time. Right now it’s at 8:15pm. Let’s say we want it a little bit earlier at 7:00. Now we’re ready to go, so we say “OK” and you can see that it is scheduled for February 4th at 7pm. The button here has changed from saying “Publish” to saying “Schedule.” I can go ahead and click “Schedule.”

Let me go out a little bit so you can see the whole window refresh. Alright, so now my post is ready to go, and my button has changed to “Update.” So you can continue to make updates to your post right up until the time that it’s scheduled to go live. It will automatically now go live on February 4th at 7 o’clock. That’s all there is to it! I told you it would be quick and easy!

I hope you found that tip useful. If you did, as always, please share it with your fellow entrepreneurs. I will see you next time with another quick tech tip for your website.
